ha, point taken ;) Well I know there's been plenty of flack for the American film makers copying or remaking international movies. Seems like everyone borrows from everyone in some way. I don't think that's anything new though. Kinda like how individuals copy each others' style. Guess its about making inspirations your own in some way. Like how miss sophie is doing it in this post!

I don't know...the Swedish tourist organization seems to think that it will. Would you really want to visit Sweden after reading/watching the books/movies, haha?! It seems like the scariest place on earth! Stockholm has always been a pretty popular city to visit, though. And Like Lin said, it's funny that there's a tie-in for the Hollywood version of the film and not the Swedish ones, even on the tour!

It's quite funny how there's a tie-in for the Hollywood version of the movie but not the Swedish version. I wasn't impressed with the Swedish version though, and am quite curious the Hollywood because I love David Fincher. I don't think I will buy anything from the collection but I really like the look of the leather jackets, as you say.

I went yesterday to see it, I didn't know they were such an small quantity of shops where they sell the collection. They are three in Spain, luckily two en Madrid very close to where I live... I guess they didn't make a big production which is good for the people getting something. I liked it a lot, the leather jacket is gorgeous and the quality is quite good for the price. I bought the grey wool cardigan and I love it, just the right amount of edge and I was in need of one.

I am a fan of the books and the original movies. The subject matter is very uncomfortable (to put it mildly) but the characters are truly wonderful and modern. I wonder if Sweden will create some sort of "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" tour where people can view some of the sites from the books/movies. Kinda like they did for Forks, WA for the Twilight series.
Anyway, I think you will ROCK that leather jacket! I would be interested in the leather leggings if they weren't faux. I've been looking for a pair of well made leather legging forever. Thanks for sharing this collection :)

@lunaday the collection is part of the H&M DIVIDED line, which is their younger line and the sizing runs smaller than regular H&M. i got the hoodie and the leather jacket both in a EUR36 (the smallest size is a 34). i think other reviews have noted that the leather jacket runs small, but pretty much everything else is TTS. let me know what you think and if you get anything! :)

Thanks for the tip re: sizing! I think I might have to run over to the nearest H&M tomorrow and have a look. There is probably a bigger market for the Salander-esque here in Scandinavia, so fingers crossed there are some good pieces left when I get there :)

@Maja Piraja oh, also, i ran over to the H&M flagship last night and even tho the smallest sizes in the leather jacket and some of the shoes were gone, there wasn't any madness around the Dragon Tattoo collection. i think, in contrast, there were LINES of people when the H&M x Versace collection hit Shanghai. i think the fact that very few people know (or care for the dark aesthetic) about the trilogy here means there's more selection for me!

Actually I was more excited about this collection than Versace, even though I know nothing about the book. I liked the henley shirt underneath the vest. But at the end of the day to drive all the way up there just for that...is like eh...plus I'm not sure if my local one even carries it. But either way it's an excellent job with the styling.
