@lin and sophie, film for polaroids is quite expensive, but the instax film is readily available. i buy it in bulk from ebay, it usually ships from Taiwan. :)

@Anonymous yes! :) i love mine and got it slightly altered (shorten the sleeves a bit) and now it's perfect. there is a discernible quality difference in the material (a nice midweight cotton gabardine, not thin or flimsy) and cut compared to cheaper versions. if you're going to get a lot of wear out of it, go for it!

the instax camera was an instant hit when i gave one to my boy last year. he brings it to events like birthday parties, engagements and weddings and then gives the pictures to the guest(s) of honour.

that and he chases the cat with it frequently.

this year it is an inexpensive turntable from amazon -- this way i know i can buy him records for future presents. :) investment gift!
