lust + found: the elegant flat boots

vintage blog photos.
l: LR boots with skinny jeans. r: with a dress and leggings. barbour and breton also highly recommended.

hey kids. this post will be short and sweet, because my beloved Loeffler Randall boots are on sale for 50% off right now. they run true to size, are very flattering, the leather is exquisite, and, in short, are the perfect flat boots. they run just a smidge narrow (thinner socks will have to do if you go with your regular size), but are very comfortable with minimal break-in time. a ton of colors and sizes still available. these are the boots that will get you compliments from strangers and friends whenever you wear them. :) let me know if you get a pair!

  1. Thanks for the heads up on the boots. Do these run really narrow in the toe box would you say? In the market for something like this, but have trouble with shoes that tend to get narrower in the toes, exactly the place where my foot gets wider. Thanks!

    1. i wouldn't say really narrow. it's an almond-toe shape which i find very elegant and sleek while still being accomodating for most regular-width sizes. they also soften up a bit once you break them in so i think you should be fine! :)

  5. Noooo why did you have to post this ha ha ha. I have been wanting these boots for years but got sidetracked with the ankle boot trend. However this is an amazing deal - 50% off! And I am moving somewhere cold. Now the question is... what colour? Cuoio is the classic colour that I love (and I have a pair of Fryes in this colour that I love but I have demolished them!) but I don't have any grey boots. What to do? :) Love your blog!

    2. I got them in cuoio today but am unsure about them in person now... they look great when they're not on me, but when I put them on, the flatness sort of bothers me, if that makes sense. Have to make a decision about them now, as I love the colour and leather but don't want to waste the $ (even if they were half-off)!

  7. I got the tobacco color. The reddish brown color is divine. I am so happy with the leather quality although the sole seems thin to me. Did you put a rubber sole on it prior to wearing it?

    1. yes i did - got my expert cobbler to put a rubber outsole and then add a small rubber mini heel for some added support. boot is holding up really well after 3 years!

    2. and just to clarify, rubber outsole = Vibram :)
